Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) at Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Brazoria
The Operating Room Registered Nurse Circulator is responsible for providing nursing care and service during surgical procedures. The RN Circulator will manage patient positioning, prepping, and overall coordination of the operating room throughout the case. The ideal candidate will have experience in a variety of surgical specialties.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
- Active RN license in the state of Texas
- BLS, ACLS, and/or PALS certification as required by the center
- Minimum of 1 year experience working as a Circulating RN in the OR
- Ability to make independent clinical decisions based on nursing judgment

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and OR protocols
- Proficient in sterile technique and infection control practices
- Ability to anticipate surgeon and team needs during surgery
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Calm under pressure with excellent critical thinking and time management
- Comfortable with EMR and clinical documentation systems
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to care
Required Experience
- 1+ years of operating room circulating experience required
- Experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) setting preferred
- Familiarity with multiple surgical specialties such as general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, ophthalmology, podiatry, or pain management
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume surgical environment
