POSITION SUMMARY
The Elevator Technician Lead is a top experienced field technician within the technician job class. This role performs advanced elevator installation, maintenance, modernization, service, troubleshooting, and repair work while leading assigned technicians and crafts personnel in the field. Level 1 designations represent the highest experience level within the applicable job class, and Level 3 designations represent entry-level status.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead assigned field crew activities for elevator installation, maintenance, modernization, service, troubleshooting, and repair work.
- Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on elevator mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, traction, control, door, and related systems.
- Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, layouts, manuals, blueprints, work orders, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate daily job tasks, material needs, equipment setup, safety planning, and work progress with field leadership.
- Inspect completed work for quality, safety, and customer/site expectations.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and hands-on training to technicians and crafts personnel.
- Maintain accurate service documentation, job notes, inspection support records, time records, and customer communication as assigned.
- Follow Company policies, OSHA requirements, customer/site rules, and applicable elevator licensing or compliance requirements.
- Advanced elevator field experience in installation, maintenance, modernization, troubleshooting, service, or repair.
- Strong working knowledge of elevator mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, traction, control, and door systems.
- Ability to lead field personnel while performing hands-on technical work.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, meters, testing equipment, ladders, lifts, and rigging support equipment as applicable.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, attendance, and customer service skills.
- State elevator mechanic license or applicable credential where required or preferred by jurisdiction.
- Experience leading field crews on commercial, industrial, modernization, or service projects.
- OSHA 10, OSHA 30, first aid/CPR, lift equipment, rigging, or related safety training.
- Compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, licensing/certification requirements, and Company compensation practices.

- This position may be eligible for travel reimbursement, company vehicle/vehicle allowance, phone stipend, tools, uniforms, or other field-related support depending on final offer terms and Company policy.
