Summary
Reporting to the Materials Management Superintendent, the Inventory Analyst is responsible for the maintenance of inventory procedures and controls to ensure that appropriate inventory levels are maintained at all times. This position requires strategic forecasting and development of inventory management policies and procedures to ensure availability of materials required to support the business. The role is a 5x2 schedule (Monday to Friday) and is not a fly‑in‑fly‑out position.
Responsibilities
- Manage and control inventory levels and communicate incoming and outgoing orders with relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate identification and disposal of obsolete, slow moving, excess and vendor returnable inventory.
- Gather and analyze forecasted demand to develop long‑term forecasts.
- Release scheduling of inbound materials and components.
- Ensure appropriate levels of inventory.
- Coordinate and submit timely and accurate inventory control data and analysis for monthly/annual materials management.
- Communicate with internal end users and external suppliers.
- Ensure that excess property is properly stored and accounted for and procedures and practices are implemented to preclude loss, damage, and/or pilferage.
- Perform all other duties related to the Inventory Analyst role as required or assigned.
Education & Experience
- Post Secondary education in Supply Chain or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Proficiency in use of ERP systems; experience with SAP is an asset.
- Previous experience in a mining environment preferred.
- Strong computer system aptitude and experience working with various types of software including Google Workspace.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to personal transportation.

- Exceptional forecasting ability with strong analytical skill.
- Committed team player with the ability to collaborate well with others while maintaining a friendly and positive demeanor and professional image.
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail with the ability to check for errors and/or inaccuracies and make sound recommendations for inventory.
- Required to meet pre‑employment testing requirements.
Working Conditions
- Work involves a set work schedule on‑site, Monday to Friday.
- Exposure to dust and temperature fluctuations.
- Occasional exposure to fluctuations in sounds, noise, vibration levels.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position.
Rate of Pay
$83K – 97K / annum
