INSTRUMENT MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTOR – COMMISSIONING
Location: Angola
Duration: 3 months
Start Date: ASAP
Rotation: 60 days on / 15 days off
Working Hours: 10 hours/day – 6 days/week
Accommodation: Provided (Onshore Camp)
We are currently supporting Saipem in the recruitment of an experienced Instrument Maintenance Instructor to support commissioning activities on an onshore project based in Angola
. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering technical training and hands‑on instruction to maintenance personnel, ensuring correct operation, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of instrumentation systems in accordance with project procedures, HSE standards, and OEM requirements.
- Deliver classroom and on‑the‑job training on instrumentation maintenance activities
- Train local and site maintenance teams during commissioning and start‑up phases
- Explain instrumentation systems, loop checks, calibration procedures, and fault diagnosis
- Support commissioning teams with technical guidance during pre‑commissioning and commissioning
- Ensure all training activities comply with Saipem standards, HSE rules, and project specifications
- Prepare and update training documentation, manuals, and training reports
- Evaluate trainees’ competencies and provide structured feedback to site management
- Proven experience as Instrument Maintenance Instructor or Senior Instrument Maintenance Technician
- Solid background in commissioning and start‑up activities
- Experience on Oil & Gas onshore projects
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems (pressure, temperature, flow, level, control valves, analyzers)
- Familiarity with calibration tools and testing equipment
- Ability to work in a multicultural and international environment
- Good command of English (spoken and written)
