We are seeking a freelance, task-based Language Data and Quality Reviewer for a project focused on European Portuguese data quality.

Key information

• Hours:
  
  Flexible, 0–20 hours per week (IST time zone, 8a IST onward).
• Compensation: USD $4.00–$6.00 per hour.
• Contract:
  
  1099 independent contractor.
• Platform:  (global contractors onboarding).

Mandatory requirements before applying

• Read and write in both European Portuguese and English.
• Reliable high‑speed internet, laptop or desktop (own device).
• Task‑based role: tasks assigned as they become available; first‑come, first‑served.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret datasets, translating raw data into actionable insights.
• Handle data batches, apply labeling techniques, manipulate data to project requirements with high accuracy.
• Oversee training data quality, identify issues or anomalies, implement corrective measures to maintain data integrity.
• Provide translations and contextual understanding where necessary to align data with language and cultural nuances.
• Offer suggestions to improve business processes and outcomes based on data analysis.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in European Portuguese and English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Experience in data labeling, manipulation, or quality assurance (preferred).
• Logical and analytical skills; attention to detail; proactive attitude toward continuous improvement.
• Strong computer skills, typing and writing.
• Linguist certification is a plus.

Interview process

• Recruiter reviews application.
• Selected candidates complete an Applicant Response Form and may be invited to a first and final interview.

Additional requirements

• Own device (laptop/desktop) and access to good Wi‑Fi during working hours.
• Available in IST (8a IST onward).
• 1099 independent contractor; W‑8 BEN form for non‑US candidates (local regulations apply).

Onboarding & compliance

• All global contractors onboarded through  to ensure alignment with international compliance standards.
• Successful completion of onboarding required before starting work; documentation must be submitted within specified timeline.
