How can you make a difference?

The Generic Job Profile for the Programme Associate at the G-6 level is to be used in a UNICEF offices, in one of the programme sections. The Programme Associate (G‑6) is embedded within Programme Section, Child Protection section, reporting to the Child Protection Officer (NOB) who is unit lead for the Access to Justice unit and under the overall guidance of the Section Chief.

This role bridges operational delivery by liaising regularly with multiple units—Programme, Operations, Finance, Supply—and with external partners (Ministry of Justice, UTBA, TGNA and CSOs). The Incumbent will be supporting CP sector and in particular justice for children partners.

Purpose for the job
:

Under the supervision and guidance of the supervisor, the Programme Associate provides specialized programme and administrative support to facilitate the development, implementation and monitoring of UNICEF's programmes. The role involves substantial engagement in data analysis, budget tracking, reporting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery and compliance with organizational rules. Incumbent exercises judgment, anticipates needs, and recommends actions that contribute to programme planning, implementation and reporting results.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Education
    :
    Secondary Education in any related fields.
  • Work Experience
    :
    At least 6 years of relevant work experience in child protection, access to justice, program management, grant management, budget monitoring, donor reporting, partnership management and any other related fields.
  • Skills
    : data analysis, knowledge management, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Language Requirements
    :
    Both English and Turkish - Proficient/Fluent
  • Language:
    Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish).
  • Having professional and/or university courses related to the field of work.
  • Having skills in SAP, Power BI, SharePoint, AI tools, PSEA.
  • Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
