Build the embedded software at the heart of the Geo Life Spirit smart collar and enable days of GPS tracking with ultra-low power consumption.
About the roleAt Geo Life Spirit we build IP67-rated smart collars for pets, offering GPS tracking, subscriptions and a mobile/web app. Our embedded team owns everything from power management to location accuracy. In this role you will design the firmware running on thousands of devices in the field, process sensor data, and fight for every milliwatt to extend battery life.
What You Will Do- Develop firmware in C/C++ on ARM Cortex-M based microcontrollers
- Integrate GPS/GNSS, cellular (2G/LTE-M/NB-IoT) and BLE modules
- Optimize low-power modes (sleep/deep-sleep) to maximize battery life
- Build and secure the OTA (over-the-air) firmware update pipeline
- Implement sensor fusion and motion-detection algorithms
- Perform board bring-up and debugging together with the hardware team
- Contribute to unit tests and hardware-in-the-loop testing
- At least 3 years of experience with embedded C/C++
- Knowledge of RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr, etc.) and bare-metal development
- Solid command of communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART
- Comfortable with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and debuggers
- Hands-on experience with low-power design and battery management
- Experience with GPS/cellular modems is a plus
- Good technical English
- Remote or hybrid work; our Ankara and Sivas offices are open
