Inventory Accountant
Kinzler Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Accountant to join our finance team. This role supports financial reporting, cost analysis, and inventory controls while collaborating with operations, purchasing, and accounting teams. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory records, resolving discrepancies, and assisting with daily purchasing processes and coverage during absences.

Key Responsibilities Inventory Counts & Controls- Facilitate and oversee physical inventory counts and cycle counts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal policies and procedures.
- Investigate inventory variances and work with operations teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Support and strengthen internal controls related to inventory management.
- Perform monthly reconciliations between the inventory sub-ledger and the general ledger.
- Ensure inventory balances are accurately reflected in financial statements.
- Prepare inventory-related journal entries and supporting documentation.
- Reconcile RNI balances and investigate discrepancies in coordination with procurement and accounts payable teams.
- Monitor aging RNI items and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
- Manage consumable inventory, including tracking usage, valuation, and performing cycle counts.
- Ensure proper classification and accounting treatment of consumable items.
- Monitor and manage the inventory inbox, responding to inquiries and resolving inventory-related issues.
- Serve as a key point of contact between accounting and operations for inventory-related questions and processes.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably with inventory or cost accounting.
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting principles and controls.
- Experience working with ERP systems and inventory modules.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, procurement, and purchasing teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
