Accounting Specialist II

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Accounting Manager

• Enter payables into the accounting system.
• Print checks for outstanding payables and stuff envelopes, stamp and mail.
• Deposit checks into Bank account through remote check system.
• Make bank runs as necessary to make sure the cash drawer is properly stocked.
• Review vendors to ensure that there is a W9 on file. If not, call and receive completed W9.
• Send out statements through email and USPS to Customer's with outstanding balances as of the end of the month. Charge credit cards as applicable
• Make daily journal entries for Flight Instruction activity. Complete tracking spreadsheet to keep track of outstanding balance for Flight Instruction activity
• Review Credit Card Processing report and make appropriate journal entries
• Complete Payroll duties as assigned
• Completing journal entries for payroll, federal and state taxes

• Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must exhibit strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence. Fostering and maintaining positive working relationships with pilots and all other departments.
• Possesses good organizational and time management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent grammar, spelling, punctuation.
• Must be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel
