Preschool meets Monday-Friday 9a - 12p, Academic Support on Tuesdays and Thursdays 5-7p, Summer program Monday-Thursday 10a-12p.
Shalom Community Impact Center (SCIC) is seeking loving and caring individuals to come alongside our children and help them grow through education and connection. Our programs primarily serve children and families from Eastern Africa and Afghanistan, though we welcome individuals from various backgrounds. SCIC provides a nurturing environment through our Preschool, After school Academic Support Program, and Summer Program — all designed to support children as they thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Our summer programs serve children from 5 to 18 years old, providing tailored academic support to youth of all ages.
We are looking for loving and caring individuals to serve as reading buddies and reading tutors. Whether you’re helping a preschooler prepare for kindergarten, teaching an elementary student to read, or assisting an older student who needs to catch up, your time and support can make a lasting difference. No teaching experience is required — just a willingness to serve and build meaningful relationships.
