POSITION SUMMARY The Application Engineer Intern will work directly with the Senior Application Engineer, who serves as the primary contact between headquarters, customers, and vendors with respect to engineering and design matters involving SPAL products. In this position, you will act as a technical liaison to the sales team and perform various engineering and technical support duties on multiple projects both new and existing.

Some of your responsibilities may include:

Product inspection, testing and validation in a lab environment

Researching, collecting, and reporting information on competing products

Aiding in the design and development or redesign of products to fulfill the needs of customers

Updating and maintaining engineering files

Product inspection, testing and validation in a lab environment

Developing training programs and supporting literature for the sales, customer service, quality, and technical teams on products, their use, application and functionality

Providing technical support to customers FUNCTIONAL ACTIVITIES Setup testing activities for SPAL product analysis.

Outline testing protocols and methods.

Blueprint creation for SPAL USA specific product codes using Auto Cad.

Assist in warranty claim processing and analysis. Providing detailed written findings from analysis of returned products.

Production Best Practice Guides and Fixtures Fan test rack Controller programming/integration CAN BusQUALIFICATIONSCurrently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills

Experience with lab equipment and design software such as: oscilloscopes, AutoCAD, ProE, Solid Works
