- Utilize Revit to develop structural layouts, framing systems, connection concepts, and general arrangement drawings that support safe, efficient, and constructible project execution.
- Create and coordinate structural design packages, including plans, sections, details, and layout drawings.
- Collaborate with engineers to translate structural calculations and requirements into practical, buildable designs.
- Incorporate structural systems that align with process, mechanical, and architectural design requirements.
- Model existing structures utilizing existing drawings, field notes, and 3D laser scans.
- Support engineers by developing structural layouts and details based on design criteria, calculations, and engineering direction.
- Interpret structural design intent and translate it into practical, buildable layouts and detailing.
- Evaluate design constraints including space limitations, access, clearances, connection feasibility, material selection, and installation requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to resolve design conflicts and improve layout efficiency.
- Apply geometric reasoning and spatial understanding to ensure proper fit, alignment, and coordination of structural components.
- Use field feedback, past project experience, and lessons learned to improve design quality and reduce rework.
- Escalate design questions or gaps to the appropriate engineering resources when technical validation or analysis is required.
- Produce detailed structural drawings and documentation to support fabrication and construction activities.
