Position Overview: Hanwha Qcells USA Corp (Qcells USA), headquartered in Irvine, CA, provides utility‑scale modules, solar photovoltaic (PV), and battery energy storage systems (BESS) project development, along with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services for solar and BESS projects nationwide. Qcells USA delivers comprehensive turnkey solutions encompassing the entire utility‑scale project lifecycle, reducing uncertainty and risk while enhancing investment returns.

Summary: The Logistics Superintendent manages site logistics for solar and battery storage projects, focusing on the delivery schedule, material handling, and resolving logistical challenges. The role oversees all site logistics activities, supervises material‑management personnel, and collaborates with Discipline Superintendents to ensure efficient material distribution. The position reports to the Site Manager and requires working Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑5:00 pm, with potential overtime, weekend work, and up to 100 % travel.

Job Function & Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee the site delivery schedule for solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system projects.
  • Execute comprehensive plans for receiving, offloading, staging, and managing materials efficiently.
  • Identify and resolve daily logistical challenges to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage all site logistics activities, including receiving, offloading, and staging, to support project timelines.
  • Supervise material management field personnel, including general foreman, operators and laborers, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with Discipline Superintendents to ensure a cohesive work environment and effective distribution of materials.
  • Ensure the project is completed on schedule and within budget by closely monitoring and adjusting logistical plans as necessary.
  • Implement quality control measures for logistics operations to meet project specifications.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and adherence to contracts.
  • Maintain inventory control, ensuring all necessary materials are available as needed without excess.
  • Promote and enforce safety protocols among logistics and material management teams.
  • Report regularly on logistics status, challenges, and solutions to project management and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as directed by supervisory or senior management.
  • Regular attendance, in accordance with the company's attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in renewables construction or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated ability to support projects: planning, installation, and execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Spanish speaking is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel full-time.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast‑paced working environment.
EXAMPLES OF PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights and in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.).
  • Able to walk or move continuously while carrying 50 lbs of tools and/or materials. Use assistance for items over 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.).
  • Requires repetitive movement.
