Wastewater Project Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager/Wastewater to oversee and coordinate waste and water treatment construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management within the waste and water treatment sector, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

• Plan, execute, and finalize waste and water treatment construction projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
• Coordinate the efforts of team members, subcontractors, and consultants to deliver projects according to plan.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
• Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
• Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes as necessary.
• Negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
• Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Track project milestones and deliverables.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
• Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in waste and water treatment.
• Proven experience in managing construction projects from start to finish, including planning, execution, and closeout.
• Strong understanding of waste and water treatment processes, means and methods, and industry standards.
• Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly.
• Knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
• PMP or other relevant project management certification is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
