Manufacturing Team Lead - 2nd Shift

Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Team Lead to oversee production activities on 2nd shift within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for leading production employees, coordinating daily priorities, supporting machine operations, maintaining safety and quality standards, and driving overall shift performance. The ideal candidate combines strong manufacturing knowledge with the ability to motivate teams, build accountability, and keep production running efficiently.

What You Will Do:

• Lead and support production employees during an assigned shift
• Coordinate daily production priorities to maximize equipment utilization and workflow
• Train, coach, and mentor team members on processes, procedures, and safe work practices
• Troubleshoot production issues and assist with machine setups, changeovers, and operational challenges
• Conduct shift meetings and communicate production goals, expectations, and performance updates
• Verify production reporting, monitor work completion, and address performance concerns as needed
• Support quality inspections using precision measuring instruments and established standards
• Promote continuous improvement, preventative maintenance activities, and adherence to safety procedures

What You Will Need to Be Successful:

• Previous experience leading or supervising employees in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of production processes, manufacturing equipment, and shop-floor operations
• Ability to motivate teams, enforce expectations, and provide day-to-day leadership with limited supervision
• Experience reading basic production documentation, prints, or work instructions
• Comfortability working extended hours and supporting production demands during busy periods
• Working knowledge of hand tools, quality inspection methods, and basic mechanical troubleshooting
