Des Moines Children’s Museum is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization. Volunteers from the community will help us keep the museum clean, safe, and affordable for local families to enjoy. Creating a strong group of volunteers will also help us grow by clearly showing that there is a lot of interest and excitement from Des Moines families for a local children’s museum.
Volunteers will assist with the day-to-day operation of the museum, tasks will include things like welcoming visitors, sanitizing toys, and keeping exhibits tidy.
This is a family-friendly volunteer opportunity, you are welcome to bring your children to play at the museum during your shift, as well as any other open hours on the day of your shift.
When you sign up, you will be asked to fill in your name, contact information, and birth date. For the safety of our visitors, we will conduct a background check on all volunteers prior to their first shift.
