Your Life as a Rain Gutter InstallerIn this role, you and your team complete a vital step in the construction process for residential and commercial buildings. You prepare for assignments by ensuring all equipment, safety gear and tools are available. You keep accurate records of materials used and returned. You form and install aluminum rain gutters from flat coils, creating a drainage system that protects structures from water intrusion.
The job involves working from heights, using ladders and sometimes aerial lifts, and requires familiarity with fall‑arrest equipment. You will also identify and report “areas of concern” and troubleshoot common installation problems while maintaining safety and teamwork.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- At least 2‑3 years’ experience installing rain gutters is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction practices is helpful but not required.
- Good judgment, problem‑solving skills and a safety‑first attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capability to read a measuring tape and fabricate pieces on the jobsite using aluminum forming equipment.
