School Bus Driver – Ankeny, IA (Part Time)

Job Summary

Join First Student as a Part‑Time School Bus Driver in Ankeny, IA. You will provide reliable transportation for students from before‑school pickup to after‑school drop‑off. No driver experience required—full training provided.

Responsibilities
  • A split shift, with early morning pickup and afternoon drop‑off with free hours in between.
  • Guaranteed shift per school day; no night or weekend work unless desired.
  • Additional hours through trips and charters when available.
Qualifications
  • Part‑time schedule desired.
  • Enjoy working with students.
  • At least 21 years old.
  • Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.

This position is subject to DOT drug testing as a safety‑sensitive employee. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason.

Benefits & Compensation
  • $21.00 per hour starting wage, based on experience.
  • $750.00 Bonus if the CLP is presented within 7 days of completing the Virtual CLP class**.
  • $250.00 Bonus if the CLP is presented within 14 days of completing the Virtual CLP class**.
