Position Summary
Driving a tractor‑trailer between customer locations to deliver and pick up freight.

• Drive a commercial vehicle safely while picking up and delivering general freight.
• Drive a commercial vehicle safely while transporting freight between terminals.
• Load and unload trailers, with or without dockworkers, using freight handling equipment as available.
• Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of freight.
• Secure freight through strapping or other methods.
• Inspect the vehicle for defects and safe operating conditions as required by law and company policy.
• Comply with all Federal requirements regarding the transportation of hazardous materials.
• Drive tractor‑trailer in all conditions in accordance with Federal regulations, observing hours of service and required off‑duty periods.
• Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations, including driver’s logs.
• Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all Federal, State, and local regulations for the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.

• Minimum age 23.
• At least 1 year of verifiable tractor‑trailer experience.
• Pass a road test administered by a Dohrn Transfer Driver Trainer.
• Possess, or obtain and maintain, Hazardous Material and Tanker endorsements on current valid driver’s license in the resident state.
• Maintain only one valid CDL issued by the resident state.
• No record of DUI/OWI or reckless driving in the past 5 years.
• Maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Pass a Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). examination and functional screen.
• Consent to a pre‑employment drug screen and receive a negative result.
• Provide negative controlled substances and alcohol results from prior employer(s) for the past three years.
• No refusal to submit to an alcohol or controlled substance test in the past three years.
• Consent to a 10‑year work history check; disclose gaps of 30 days or more with explanation and documentation as requested.
• Ability to read and write English and perform simple mathematics.
• The position is at‑will; no guaranteed employment period.

• Grip various sizes and weights up to 100 pounds.
• Lift up to 100 pounds from ground level to 45″, or up to 36″ at waist level.
• Front‑carry up to 100 pounds for 250 feet.
• Push/pull up to 60 pounds of horizontal force.
• Sit up to 10 hours per day.
• Stand and walk frequently.
• Climb, squat, crouch, balance, or kneel occasionally.
• Crawl rarely.
• Reach frequently while shifting gears, moving freight, loading/unloading trailers, and operating steering wheel and hand crank on front jacks.
• Speak with coworkers and customers as needed for safe job performance.
• Use vision constantly while driving, reading maps, inspecting truck.
• Smell occasionally for leak detection.
• Use hearing frequently to monitor vehicle sounds.
• May be exposed to extreme temperatures, humidity, wetness, dust, gas, fumes, or chemicals.
