Position OverviewThis role will lead the field operations of a $60M ground‑up project in Ann Arbor, MI. This 3‑year development will include $20M in site work and five buildings comprised of apartments and senior living residences. The Senior Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all field activities, managing subcontractors, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining project schedules. This is a high‑visibility role with long‑term career growth potential, including advancement into a Director position within 5‑years.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all field operations for a large‑scale, multi‑building ground‑up construction project.
- Manage subcontractors, site logistics, scheduling, and quality control.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and ownership to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Implement 2–3 week look‑ahead schedules and ensure field coordination aligns with project milestones.
- Serve as the on‑site leader, maintaining strong client relationships and representing Fairview Construction with professionalism.
- Mentor and develop field staff, supporting a culture of stability and growth.
- 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent, with at least 5 years overseeing large‑scale ground‑up multifamily, mixed‑use, or senior living projects.
- Proven track record managing ground‑up projects.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with construction management software (Procore experience preferred).
- Deep knowledge of site work, building systems, and sequencing for multi‑building developments.
- Ability to drive schedules, manage field staff, and maintain quality and safety standards.
- Competitive base salary, between $125,000 - $145,000.
- Annual bonus tied to project metrics, typically 10% paid yearly.
