Job Description & How to Apply Below

The Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) at the University of Michigan is recruiting a full-time clinical faculty member to join our dynamic and expanding team. We welcome applications from board-certified or board-eligible MFM subspecialists at all career stages—early, mid, or advanced—who are passionate about delivering high-quality, high-risk obstetric care and excited to help shape the future of MFM services in Ann Arbor, and in the state of Michigan.

Position Rank: Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (Clinical Track), commensurate with experience and qualifications.

We are particularly interested in candidates who bring vision and energy to building clinical and educational programs. Our division is in a period of significant growth, and we are looking for a collaborator eager to contribute to—and lead in—the innovation of care delivery for medically and socially complex pregnancies. Our division has deep strength in both maternal and fetal specialties including established multidisciplinary specialty programs such as cardio-obstetrics, diabetes in pregnancy, placenta accreta spectrum, fetal therapy, and addiction medicine to name a few.

Clinical

Responsibilities
  • Provide care across our full suite of MFM clinical services, including outpatient clinics, the Fetal Diagnostic Center (ultrasound unit), surgical procedures, and inpatient high-risk obstetric care.
  • Support and advance our division’s mission to improve access to high-risk preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum care across the state of Michigan through innovative and equitable care delivery models.
Academic and Educational Responsibilities
  • Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and MFM fellows.
  • Engage in scholarly activity. Faculty are encouraged to pursue research aligned their individual career goals and aspirations including clinical care, program development, quality improvement, obstetric safety, and education. Robust departmental and institutional resources are available to support academic growth and leadership development.

The University of Michigan offers a highly collaborative, intellectually rich, and supportive environment with a longstanding commitment to excellence in women’s health.

We invite individuals who are mission-driven, growth-oriented, and ready to contribute to a forward-looking MFM division to apply. Interested individuals should forward their curriculum vitae and contact information for three references to Amy Kaufman Eddy (akeddych.edu), Chief Departmental Administrator, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, L4000 University Hospital – South, 1500
