Michigan Heart and Vascular Institute, a nationally recognized cardiology practice and member of IHA, has an excellent full time employment opportunity for a fellowship trained, Board Certified or Board Eligible Non-Invasive Cardiology physician to join this well-respected practice at locations in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Michigan Heart is a 30-physician single-specialty cardiovascular medical group located in Southeast Michigan on the campus of Trinity Health Ann Arbor. Due to strategic initiatives and growth, the group is recruiting a fellowship-trained, Board Certified or Board Eligible (with board certification expected within two years of hire) Cardiologist with advanced training in CHF to join 2 board certified CHF specialists.
This physician will be part of a collegial team that equitably distributes work assignments and outreach activities. Michigan Heart physicians have been recruited from the countrys premiere training programs and share a vision of emphasizing both remarkable patient care and physician quality of life.

Shared Call Coverage: 1:7
Inpatient and outpatient general cardiology care and consultations with emphasis in heart failure.
Development and eventual leadership in a community hospital heart failure program; CHF clinic including outpatient heart failure monitoring systems (i.e. Cardiomems, Zoll and device-related heart failure alert systems).
Liaison/co-management between community hospital and advanced heart failure centers for potential LVAD and cardiac transplant patients.
Noninvasive cardiology practice involving echocardiography, stress testing, outpatient cardiac arrhythmia monitoring. Level 2 training in echocardiogram required, special interest in Cardiac MRI preferred but not required.
Participation in Pharmacological/Device-related industry supported heart failure research.
Requirements
Fellowship trained
Board Certified or Board Eligible (must become board certified within 2 years of hire date)
Preference of advanced imaging training (Cardiac MRI) and Chronic Heart Failure advanced training
ABOUT THE FACILITY
Michigan Heart is recognized nationally as a leader among large cardiovascular medicine subspecialty practices. We are based out of Trinity Health Ann Arbor, Michigan. Our Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is comprised of a single group with 30 cardiologists. We have integrated with Trinity Health Ann Arbor, a member of Trinity Health, one of the largest Catholic health care organizations in the United States.
Trinity Health is based in Livonia, Michigan.
We collaborate with our cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons (both single groups) within a forum called the Michigan Heart & Vascular Institute (MHVI). Our practice locations span across much of southeastern Michigan. Regional partnering hospitals include Trinity Health Livonia, Chelsea Community Hospital and Trinity Health in Howell, Michigan.
We have one of the largest noninvasive cardiology practices in the country with a full complement of services including echocardiography (including 3D), Transesophageal Echocardiography, Nuclear Stress, Noninvasive Vascular studies, Cardiac CTAs, and Cardiac MRIs. We have a comprehensive and rapidly expanding electrophysiology program including EP studies, VT and Afib Ablations, Pacemaker, and ICD implantation. We also perform more than 1000 ablations and more than 1600 device implantations each year.
We provide a full range of coronary interventional procedures including cardiac catheterizations, PCIs and complex CTO PCI. Our peripheral interventional program includes carotid, upper extremity, renal/mesenteric, aortoiliac, fem-pop and below the knee PVI and renal denervation procedures. Our structural heart program includes BAV, TAVR, mitral valvuloplasty, TEER, ASD/PFO closure, left atrial appendage closure, septal ablation and coronary fistula closure procedures.
We have also been involved with clinical trials of left ventricular partitioning devices and stem-cell therapy.
