OpportunityAs a Senior Electrical Engineer
, you will lead technical initiatives and support the global nuclear program.
Key responsibilities include:
- Function as a Technical Specialist or Project Lead, guiding project teams.
- Develop design change packages for operating nuclear plant facilities and deliver solutions for a more sustainable future.
- Develop electrical drawing deliverables including:
- One‑line and three‑line diagrams
- Electrical motor schematics, breaker control schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Power cable sizing and cable schedules
- Complex engineering calculations (load flow, short‑circuit, motor starting, arc‑flash analysis, protective relay settings, battery and charger sizing)
- Schematics, interconnection diagrams and equipment layouts
- Create bills of materials and procurement specifications.
- Develop man‑hour budgets and schedules for projects and proposals.
- Attend on‑site meetings, investigate existing conditions, interface with clients, and provide support during construction.
- Extensively use Microsoft Office and engineering tools such as Project Wise, ETAP, AutoCAD, and other CAD software.
Must be located or willing to relocate to the World Headquarters in Overland Park, KS or one of the regional offices:
Ann Arbor, MI;
Chattanooga, TN;
Cary, NC;
Gaithersburg, MD

Key Responsibilities- Provide guidance and direction on design guides, standards, systems, and engineering codes.
- Apply B&V quality program, promote continuous improvement and risk management.
- Prepare complex engineering deliverables for mega projects.
- Perform advanced engineering calculations and develop solutions to complex problems.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on project schedules.
- Communicate client interests and devise approaches to meet project drivers.
- Support business development and pursue opportunities.
- Act as a technical specialist and support multiple projects on complex technical challenges.
- Mentor lower‑level professionals and identify successors.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in Kansas or your state of residence.
- Project Lead experience and technical SME in nuclear plant design.
- Experience in nuclear power plant or similar power generation facility design.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 11 years of related work experience.
- Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding (background checks, drug screening, etc.).
Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after 90 days.
