** With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chip makers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers.

Central Engineering is KLA's largest engineering organization comprised of 9 Centers-of-Excellence (CoE) in various disciplines applied across all product groups in the company. These CoE include Handling & Automation, Precision Motion Control, Sensors & Image Acquisition, Platform Design, and Packaging Engineering, among others. ** Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
** In this role, you’ll collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to design, detail, and test new electrical subsystems. If you're a self-motivated engineer who enjoys turning concepts into reality and brings a “get it done” mentality, this is the role for you.##
** What You Will Be Doing
*** Lead the design and development of electrical parts, modules, and subsystems for integrated measurement systems.
* Manage the full design lifecycle—from requirement specification and feasibility studies to component selection, cost analysis and scheduling. This includes performing detailed analysis including circuit, timing, thermal/cooling, and electrical load balancing calculations for 120–480

VAC single-phase, 3-phase, and low-voltage DC power distribution systems that are in compliance with applicable standards (NEC, NFPA 79, IPC, SEMI, IEC).
* Program PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley) and integrate control and safety-interlock systems.
* Create conceptual and detailed designs using tools like AutoCAD and CREO, including drawings, BOMs, test procedures, and fixtures.
* Lead design reviews and collaborate across subject areas (mechanical, software, systems, manufacturing).
* Procure prototype parts, conduct testing, and support system integration and manufacturing handoff. We need someone with strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills for this.
* Work closely with suppliers to ensure design requirements are met and resolve issues throughout the product lifecycle.##
