The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of related work experience. PLS‑CADD experience and utility‑scale project experience is preferred.

Required software skillsets include:
Autodesk AutoCAD, Bentley Micro Station 2D/3D, or PLS‑CADD.

Under close supervision, the designer provides technical support to engineering teams by performing tasks that require a basic understanding of engineering principles and practices. The work involves utilizing digital tools and design software (e.g., CAD, BIM, 3‑D modeling) to assist in the creation, modification, and maintenance of technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables. The designer participates in the evaluation of methods used in the development of deliverables and design activities to support continuous improvement and efficiency.

• Continue to learn and apply standards, systems, document control, departmental guides, and BV policies and procedures.
• Ensure that deliverables are accurate and compliant by continually developing knowledge of the BV Quality Program.
• Demonstrate personal accuracy and support continuous improvement and change‑management efforts.
• Broaden knowledge of the applications required to modify and develop less complex deliverables based on a variety of design inputs.
• Assist with minor computations such as material quantity estimates and dimensional checks.
• Assist in coordinating deliverables with other groups involved on the same project to minimize interference or errors.
• Focus on the needs of internal clients while attempting to gain a basic understanding of external client’s main interests and drivers.
• Proactively seek and share knowledge of latest technologies and processes.

• Diploma or Certificate preferred.
• Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design‑Related Technology preferred.

• Typically a minimum of 1 year related work experience.
