Responsibilities
- Engineer new product designs including application of GD&T
- Create manufacturing process including equipment, tools, and fixtures
- Lead product innovation projects from concept through specified Gate Reviews
- Complete product feasibility reviews
- Process Engineering Change Requests and supporting documentation
- Direct CAD resources for product and tooling design work
- Create and document engineering guidelines and lessons learned
- Oversee build events prior to PPAP to validate product design, manufacturing process, fixtures, tools, and equipment
- Review customer technical specifications to ensure compliance
- Interpret and utilize statistical methods to improve products and processes
- Knowledge of APQP and related documentation
- Knowledge of product design and ability to interpret and apply GD&T
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly fixtures, and equipment
