Tax Strategy and Planning

Our tax specialists provide proactive strategies to minimize clients’ future tax liabilities. As an Advanced Tax Planning Specialist you will work with financial advisors to develop financial strategies, reduce individual client tax liability, and identify new opportunities.

Essential Job Functions
  • Analyze tax liability.
  • Prepare tax projections.
  • Prepare and file tax returns.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and prospective clients.
  • Develop and maintain a client base.
  • Market and sell appropriate tax plans.
  • Attend meetings and continuing education sessions.
  • Take a holistic approach with a team of financial professionals to service high‑income and high‑net‑worth clients.
  • Comply with all industry rules and regulations.
  • Represent clients in front of the IRS and state revenue departments.
  • Perform all other tasks assigned.
Education / Knowledge & Skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, stringent deadlines, and multiple clients.
  • Strong sense of professional and personal accountability.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly motivated; self‑starter.
  • Strong leadership qualities, work ethic, and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • 6+ years’ relevant experience preparing and reviewing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
  • Must possess an active Enrolled Agent or Certified Public Accountant license.
  • Must possess an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
  • Experience with CCH Axcess software preferred.
