Overview
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will serve by providing direct instructional and behavioral support to students with disabilities in alignment with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Working under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and classroom teacher, the RBT supports academic instruction, behavior management, and skill development to promote student success in the school environment. Multiple positions are available for the 2025–2026 school year.
Key Responsibilities- Provide classroom, small-group, and one-to-one support to students with disabilities.
- Assist teachers in implementing instructional activities and accommodations outlined in IEPs.
- Implement behavior support strategies developed by the BCBA or special education team.
- Collect and record behavioral and academic data to monitor student progress.
- Support students with communication, social, and daily living skills as needed.
- Reinforce positive behaviors and assist in managing challenging behaviors using approved interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and administrators to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Assist students with transitions, organization, and participation in school routines.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information and comply with all district, state, and federal regulations.
- Participate in training, supervision, and professional development.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervising teacher, BCBA, or administration.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required;
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, or related field preferred. - Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Experience working with children, particularly students with disabilities or behavioral needs, preferred.
- Ability to follow teacher and BCBA direction while working independently with students.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Must meet all state and district background check requirements.
