Initiate and perform all phases of neonatal, pediatric and adult respiratory care.
Required Qualifications- Graduation from an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Program, minimum Associates degree or an equivalent combination of education of experience is necessary.
- Current license in respiratory therapy by the state of Michigan is necessary
- Licensure and credentials must be maintained by the employee at all times during employment.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), or certification within 30 days of hire
- College graduate with a degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) within 90 days of the date of hire.
- Licensure as a Respiratory Therapist by Michigan Department of Community Health, Board of Respiratory Care within 90 days of the date of hire for new graduates.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), or certification within 30 days of hire
Considerable physical and mental effort in job duties, i.e., assisting patients, moving equipment, lifting, pulling, pushing, bending, twisting, walking, long periods of standing, comforting, and emotionally supporting patients and families.
Desired Qualifications- Previous pediatric or neonatal intensive care experience.
- Registration (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care is preferred.
- Night shift after completion of orientation
- 36 hour position
