Assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation, and companionship
Supporting mobility, transfers, and range of motion exercises
Providing medication reminders and documenting client conditions
Notifying supervisors of changes or concerns
Ensuring a safe, clutter-free home environment
Engaging clients in activities like puzzles, games, reading, and hobbies
A high school diploma (or equivalent)
Current CPR certification (on-site training available)
A valid Michigan driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
A compassionate nature and strong communication skills. An open schedule with flexibility to meet client needs
Demonstrated care giving experience with the ability to deliver high-quality.
Physical Demands: Caregivers must be able to frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and climb stairs while working in clients' homes. The position requires the ability to assist clients with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and other activities of daily living. Employees must be able to safely lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds and utilize proper body mechanics, transfer techniques, gait belts, and other assistive devices when appropriate.
Caregivers are expected to follow all agency safety policies and procedures and should not perform unsafe lifts or transfers beyond their training or physical capabilities.
