Personal Caregiver

Right at Home Washtenaw is looking for compassionate, dependable Personal Caregivers to provide hands‑on, non-medical care to seniors and adults with disabilities in their homes.

This position is ideal for individuals who are comfortable providing hands‑on personal care and want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients and their families.

As a Personal Caregiver, you may assist clients with:

• Bathing and showering
• Dressing and grooming
• Toileting and incontinence care
• Mobility and transfers
• Feeding and meal assistance
• Medication reminders
• Light housekeeping and laundry
• Companionship and emotional support
• Accompanying clients to appointments and activities
• Providing transportation when appropriate
• Observing and reporting changes in a client's condition or needs
• Following the client's individualized care plan
• Maintaining a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment

The ideal candidate is:

• Compassionate, patient, and dependable
• Comfortable providing hands‑on personal care
• Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living
• Able to maintain a client's dignity and privacy
• A good communicator
• Comfortable working independently in a client's home
• Reliable and committed to providing quality care

Previous caregiving or healthcare experience is helpful but not always required. Training is provided.

Nursing students are encouraged to apply. This position provides valuable hands‑on experience working with older adults and individuals with disabilities and can help develop skills that complement your nursing education.

Flexible part‑time opportunities are available based on client needs and your availability.

We serve clients throughout Washtenaw County, including Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Saline, and surrounding communities.
