Position: Front of the House Manager

We are currently seeking a Front of House Manager who is passionate about hospitality, team leadership, and delivering consistently excellent guest experiences.

Position Summary

The Front of House Manager oversees all front‑of‑house operations to ensure smooth daily service, strong team performance, and memorable guest experiences. This role is responsible for staff leadership, scheduling, service standards, and floor execution while working closely with the General Manager and culinary team to support efficient, profitable operations.

The ideal candidate is hands‑on, organized, service‑driven, and thrives in a fast‑paced environment where quality, consistency, and teamwork matter.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management
  • Recruit, hire, train, schedule, coach, and provide feedback to front‑of‑house staff
  • Foster a positive, professional, and team‑oriented work culture
  • Lead by example on the floor, setting the tone for service and hospitality
Guest Experience
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by actively engaging with guests and addressing concerns promptly and professionally
  • Personally greet, seat, and assist guests as needed
  • Resolve guest issues in a calm, solution‑oriented manner
Operations & Service Execution
  • Oversee daily front‑of‑house operations, including floor plans, staffing levels, and service flow
  • Adjust staffing and floor coverage in response to volume and unexpected changes
  • Manage reservations, service pacing, and coordination with events and catering as applicable
  • Complete opening and closing duties to ensure cleanliness, organization, and security
  • Maintain accurate records related to sales, cash handling, and operational reporting
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the General Manager
  • Assist with purchasing and inventory oversight to minimize waste and control costs
Standards, Safety & Maintenance
  • Conduct daily inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and adherence to service standards
  • Address basic maintenance issues and coordinate repairs as needed
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety, and sanitation requirements
Marketing & Community Engagement
  • Respond to guest feedback and community interests to support marketing and promotional efforts
  • Support special events, private dining, and on‑site functions as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team‑development skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high‑volume service environment
  • Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role requires standing and moving throughout the shift. The position involves frequent bending, reaching, lifting (up to 75 lbs occasionally), and working in a restaurant environment with exposure to heat, steam, cold, noise, and food preparation areas.
