IT Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Data Analyst
Position Summary
The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for interfacing with all departments and brands of the Real Truck portfolio and analyzing business needs to recommend changes to current systems or processes, which includes researching new systems that may benefit the organization. The Business Analyst should have strong business acumen and be capable of asking the right questions so that I.T. requirements can be developed.
The IT Business Analyst will need to have excellent documentation skills, in addition to outstanding analytical and customer service skills.
- Serve as a key liaison to other departments that have specific business functions.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify, document, and communicate business needs and provide IT solutions.
- Translate customer requirements into technical design with the development team.
- Train department end users in the use of IT software. Work collaboratively with employees across the organization.
- Develop custom reporting using SQL and SSRS based on business requirements.
- Plan, analyze, and validate business needs - both functional and technical.
- Analyze current and future business systems to determine if they align with the company goals and objectives.
- Plan and facilitate end user documentation and testing.
- Follow corporate policies and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or IT Project Manager is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience utilizing ERP systems is preferred.
- 1+ year of Manhattan Active experience preferred.
- 1+ year of Net Suite Distribution experience preferred.
- Net Suite - Manhattan Active experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Snap Ful Fil warehouse management system is a plus.
- Order-to-cash experience preferred.
- Previous experience in development and maintaining work instructions and end-user manuals is required.
- Experience in the entire SDLC lifecycle is preferred.
- Experience in creating functional design documents is required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with a broad spectrum of team members.
- Understanding of core systems such as ERP, WMS, and EDI. Strong SQL knowledge.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to map current-state and future-state processes.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Office, and Visio.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to team with others to implement complex projects.
- Occasional travel may be required; approximately 20% or less.
- This position is an Individual Contributor: working team member with no oversight of others and no management responsibilities.
- This position is subject to sedentary work;
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involved sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.
- This position is subject to the following physical activities: talking, hearing, and the use of hands and wrists in a repetitive motion.
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
- This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
