In gTech Users and Products (gUP), our mission is to advocate for Google’s users by creating helpful and trusted experiences across the product ecosystem. Digitization operations unlock the world’s offline information through digitization at any scale. We digitize content for Google Books Search, Google Arts and Culture, You Tube, Google Cloud, Google Hardware teams, and Google Deep Mind to bring information to users and to support ML development. We plan, set up, and manage industrial‑scale facilities, using custom‑built equipment and software. Google creates products and services that make the world a better place, and gTech’s role is to help bring them to life.

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $123,000–$176,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience working with database technologies (e.g., SQL, No
  
  SQL).
• 3 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
• Experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal and external partners or customers.

• 2 years of experience working directly with hardware systems in a laboratory or industrial setting (e.g., robotics, motor controllers).
• Experience with cross‑functional collaboration and working with executive‑level stakeholders, with the ability to communicate clearly.
• Experience with photography or imaging equipment.
• Experience with electro/mechanical assembly.
• Experience working with systems (e.g., Linux, Unix).
• Experience with agile software development and artificial intelligence.

• Design, implement, test, and launch internal tools for gTech digitization services.
• Maintain existing tools and hardware infrastructure to support and advance efficiencies and offerings for the operations team to meet partner and customer needs.
• Operate and work with the regional technicians team.
• Develop internal databases, reports, and tools to support operations.
• Analyze work processes to determine inefficiencies and opportunities for automation.
• Collaborate with a global team of support engineers, software developers and operations staff to support a wide range of projects, programs and technologies.
