About the Role

In this opportunity as Principal Engineer, CoCounsel Application, you will:

  • Provide technical leadership and define software development strategies for critical AI projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead the design and development of innovative features for CoCounsel, advancing AI-native product experiences.
  • Drive the seamless integration of LLMs and generative AI technologies into user-friendly applications for legal professionals.
  • Streamline the use of Micro Front Ends to ensure low latency, scalability, and excellent user experience.
  • Mentor a globally distributed team of engineering managers, architects, and developers to strengthen engineering culture.
  • Lead complex technical initiatives, exercising autonomy in decision-making and managing technical risk.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions.
About You
  • 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with a proven record of developing scalable, web-based solutions.
  • Expertise with modern UI frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, or similar), Type Script, Node.js, and Python.
  • Experience with AI technologies, including GenAI concepts such as prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and fine-tuning.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence across organizational boundaries.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor others and promote best practices in release management, AI dev tools, and test-driven development.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, make data-driven decisions, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Additional

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience integrating AI/ML technologies into customer-facing applications.
  • Background in legal technology or enterprise SaaS environments.
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
