We are seeking an experienced Linux Administrator to support the buildout, upgrade, and maintenance of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 9 systems in a Hyper‑V virtualized environment. This position will focus on provisioning new virtual machines on Matrix hosts, managing OS life cycles, and ensuring stable and secure system performance. No hardware work is required.

• Build, configure, and deploy new RHEL 9 virtual machines on Hyper‑V Matrix hosts.
• Perform OS installations, upgrades, and patching for Linux systems in production and staging environments.
• Administer system services, users, permissions, and security configurations, including SELinux and firewall settings.
• Document build procedures, configuration standards, and system changes for internal reference.
• Collaborate with other technical teams on migration or rebuild efforts for existing systems.
• Assist in improving and maintaining existing Ansible automation playbooks if experience permits.

• Strong hands‑on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8/9 administration.
• Proven background in Hyper‑V or equivalent virtualization environments (VM creation, networking, snapshots, storage).
• Proficiency with Linux CLI tools, system logging, and shell scripting.
• Understanding of Linux networking fundamentals, DNS, NTP, and firewall management.
• Experience with system hardening and patch management best practices.
• Clear communication and documentation skills.

• Familiarity with Ansible for configuration management and automation.
• Knowledge of version control tools (e.g., Git) and basic CI/CD processes.
• Prior experience with large‑scale rebuild or migration projects.
