A leading full-service U.S. law firm with nearly 170 years of history is seeking an experienced Trademark Attorney to join its Michigan IP team. This is a client‑facing role requiring a portable book of business of at least $300K, ideal for a candidate ready to leverage their existing client relationships while managing and growing a dynamic trademark portfolio.

• Advise clients on U.S. and international trademark matters, including prosecution, portfolio management, and brand enforcement
• Draft, file, and prosecute U.S. and international trademark applications, office action responses, and renewals
• Handle TTAB proceedings and support trademark‑related litigation
• Conduct trademark clearance searches, domain name registrations, and UDRP proceedings
• Collaborate with internal teams and foreign associates on cross‑border matters
• Contribute to efficiency and process improvements within the IP group

• JD from an accredited law school and admitted to practice in Michigan (or DC) and the USPTO
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in trademark law
• Proven ability to generate and maintain client relationships, with a portable book of business of $300K+
• Strong legal writing, oral communication, and project management skills
• Able to work independently, take initiative, and thrive in a collaborative environment
