** Job Summary
** Primary responsibility in association with the Attending Physician(s) for the inpatient evaluation and management of critically ill adult neurologic patients (mainly stroke patients) in the intensive care setting/IR suite/ED. Participates in patients' clinical care, demonstrating high levels of critical thinking skills as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Participates in the implementation of clinical practice guidelines (especially stroke related) for Advanced Practice Providers and serves as a resource for staff members, patients, and family.
Responsibilities include completing history and physical examinations; ordering and interpreting radiological and laboratory test results; prescribing medications; documenting patient care services within EMR and departmental records; and performing procedures within scope of practice and demonstrated through competency (central lines, arterial lines)

*** Conducts medical rounds (history, verification of medication, etc.), oversees and documents the plan of care as part of the Neuro
ICU/Neuro
IR team, and ensures best practices are in place. Performs focused neurological or comprehensive assessments and provides accurate documentation. Ensures that the plan of care for the neurocritical care/Neurointerventional patient is of sufficient breadth and depth to guide the interdisciplinary team in achieving the desired health outcomes.
