The 8E Medical/Surgical Unit: A wide variety of general surgery patients, including colorectal, hepatobiliary, thyroid/parathyroid, and vascular trauma.

Under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Manager provides support for patients, visitors and colleagues on assigned nursing units. Facilitates efficient patient throughput including admissions, discharges and transfers. Supports patient experience and culture of safety goals through equipment maintenance, unit supplies, unit appearance and overall environment of care. Provides reception type services to patients, families, visitors and other unit guests.

• Education:
  
  Requires high school diploma or equivalent
• Experience:
  
  Three to six months previous related experience
• Preferred:
  Customer Service, Retail, Clerical Experience
