Location:

Trinity Health Ann Arbor. The unit includes 12 LDRs, 4 High Risk Rooms, 7 Bed Triage Areas, 6 Antepartum Rooms, 3 C/Section Rooms, 4 Bed PACU. Treatment Team consists of RNs, Surgical Technicians, Patient Care Technicians & Unit Clerks. 24/7 in-house providers available (Obstetricians, Midwives, OB residents, Pediatricians, Neonatologist, Anesthesiologist, CRNA).

Shifts Available: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Full time and Part time positions. Every Other Weekend and Every other Holiday per year required for Full-time and Part-Time team members.

• Education
  :
  Graduation from a school of nursing that results in the ability to sit for the NCLEX exam to become licensed as a Registered Nurse. BSN preferred. New graduate nurses require licensure examination scheduled within 45 days of hire.
• Licensure
  :
  • Current State of Michigan RN License
  • BLS
  • ACLS required for the following departments:
    Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, Emergency

• Experience
  :
  • Graduation from accredited nursing program
  • Effective January 1, 2013 all new hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five (5) years from date of hire or transfer to an RN role
  • Knowledge of nursing theory, practice and age specific needs
  • Interpersonal skills to initiate and maintain collegial relationships with coworkers and therapeutic relationships with patients and families
  • Critical thinking skills to perform duties and responsibilities of the role
  • Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when planning and performing professional nursing care
