• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 8, 2025 – December 8, 2025)

• Healthcare Setting:
  Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
• Shifts:
  
  Day/Evening rotating shifts (8-hour and 12-hour options: 06:30–14:30, 14:30–22:30, 06:30–18:30, 10:30–22:30)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call Requirements: 2–4 weeknight calls and 1–2 weekend calls per 4-week schedule (no call shift longer than 12 hours)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2750 - $2820

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license (required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR Registered Nurse experience
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• CNOR certification preferred
• Strong scrub experience in cardiovascular operating room procedures
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Two direct supervisor references required

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative care to adult cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery patients, including high-acuity and transplant cases
• Circulate and scrub for complex CVOR procedures: CABG, heart and lung transplant, ECMO, MAZE, LVAD/RVAD, aortic aneurysm repair, VATS, esophagectomy, carotid endarterectomy, and more
• Operate advanced surgical technology, including Da Vinci Xi Robot
• Participate in a flexible call schedule with manageable shift lengths
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and universal protocols
• Deliver compassionate support to patients and families throughout the surgical experience
