Registered NURSE: University Hospital; Staffing Resources, Adult General Care Cluster

Overview

This RN would be part of our Central Staffing Resource Department in the Adult General Care Cluster. The cluster services the Adult Medical/Surgical areas at Michigan Medicine.

• Provide nursing care to a variety of patients, from young adult to elderly.
• Float among Adult General areas with familiarity across multiple medical diagnoses including GI medicine, Pulmonary, Rheumatology, Hematology, Oncology, Trauma/Orthopedic Surgery, Neurology/Neurosurgery, Infectious Disease, Nephrology, Renal Transplant, Otolaryngology, Endocrine/Plastic and Oral Surgery, Family Medicine, and Dermatology.
• Collaborate with all members of the health care team to provide family-centered care and meet the complex care requirements of the adult population.

• Current Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• One (1) year or more of recent RN experience in adult inpatient acute care.
• BSN required.
• Demonstrates expertise in communication and problem-solving skills within all levels of the health care team, effective delegation, accountability, and dependability.
• Experience floating to multiple units; knowledge of University of Michigan Hospital nursing policies and practice.
• Proficient computer skills and active participation in continuous quality improvement with documented results.
