PayBase pay range: $62,542.00/yr – $81,309.00/yr (actual pay based on your skills and experience).

- Citizenship:
Citizen of the United States; non‑citizens may only be appointed when no qualified citizens can be recruited. - Education:
Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the appropriate state agency and/or accredited by the National League for Nursing (NLNAC). - Licensure:
Full, active, current, and unrestricted licensure as a licensed practical or vocational nurse in a U.S. state, territory, Commonwealth, or District of Columbia. - English language proficiency:
Must be proficient in spoken and written English. - Experience:
Completion of at least one (1) year of qualifying experience at the GS‑6 level or equivalent, demonstrating advanced patient care skills, ability to assist RN/MD, and independent technical judgment.
- Provide practical nursing care under general supervision, including assessment, intervention, and documentation.
- Assist RN/MD with medication preparation and administration, including restricted medications authorized at the GS level.
- Observe, record, and report changes in patients’ conditions and alert RN/MD as necessary.
- Contribute to the development and modification of patient care plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Perform assigned nursing care in surgical clinics, including use of IV infusion pumps, pulse oximetry, and point‑of‑care testing.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of reusable medical equipment and uphold infection control, safety, and universal precautions.
- Support patient transitions across care settings and facilitate family involvement in care and education.
- Participate in committees or task forces to improve quality of care and patient satisfaction.
