Retail Associate

Overview

The Store Sales Associate is a key member of the Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Ann Arbor team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service, driving sales, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers.

This role goes beyond standard retail duties and requires a deep understanding of the company’s products and services, including grooming, pet food, pet accessories, and specialty items. Sales Associates are expected to engage customers, offer personalized solutions, and foster long-term relationships with pet owners, all while maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Success in this role is measured by customer satisfaction and promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.

• Provide Exceptional Customer Service:
  Greet customers warmly, understand their needs, and offer solutions that align with their pet care requirements.
• Product and Service Recommendations:
  Use expertise in pet products, grooming services, and pet care to suggest relevant items and services. Help customers select food, toys, accessories, and grooming packages based on their pet’s specific needs.
• Upselling and Cross-Selling:
  Actively promote store products and services, including seasonal items, current store promotions, re-booking and exclusive special offers.
• Upsell higher-margin products and encourage clients to try new or related services, as well as bulk appointments and re-booking next appointment while in store.
• Client Relationship Building:
  Develop strong, lasting relationships with customers by remembering preferences, offering tailored recommendations, and following up on previous purchases. Create a loyal customer base through personalized service and follow-through.
