Clinical Research Assistant (term limited)
Job Summary
This entry‑level position on the Michigan Medicine CRC Career Ladder provides administrative and coordination support for non‑interventional research projects such as registries, retrospective data reviews, long‑term follow‑up studies, and other clinical research projects. The role will support a research team in the Cardiovascular Medicine Division led by Dr. J. Brian Byrd.

- Extract information from charts for a research project related to conditions that can cause high blood pressure.
- Follow an agreed‑upon protocol and reliably record information.
- Seek clarification of the protocol when ambiguities arise.
- Create and maintain a Red Cap database to store the resulting information (desirable).
- High school diploma or GED.
- Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
- MD or MBBS degree or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
- Experience with clinical research.
Term‑limited appointment. At the end of the stated term, the appointment will terminate and will not be eligible for Reduction‑in‑Force (RIF) benefits. The appointment does not create a contract or guarantee of employment for any period of time. Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre‑employment drug testing on candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer, in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act.
