Expected compensation: 70.00 - 73.00 USD Per Hour.

Hire Art is helping our client find an Integration Software Engineer to join its team and support the development and validation of next‑generation automotive software platforms.

• Develop and integrate software for simulation, testing, and validation environments, including SIL, HIL, and VIL systems.
• Participate in Agile Scrum development while applying systems engineering principles.
• Build strong partnerships with platform teams and adapt as tools and platforms evolve.
• Use, evaluate, and provide feedback on internal tools and platforms to improve usability and performance.
• Train and collaborate closely with customers to deliver production‑ready vehicle applications.

• 5+ years of experience in automotive software or systems engineering.
• Strong understanding of ECU hardware architectures and standard vehicle architectures.
• Experience with embedded systems and hardware diagnostics.
• Proficiency with Linux kernel modules and device tree modification and troubleshooting.
• Experience working with CI/CD practices in automotive testing environments.
• Familiarity with automotive build systems and vehicle communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, LIN, Flex Ray).
• Experience developing software in compliance with functional safety standards such as ISO 26262.

This is a full‑time, 1-2 month contract position (with the possibility of extension) staffed via Hire Art. The role is hybrid, requiring three days per week onsite, and is open to candidates local to the Ann Arbor, MI area.
