Honda Development & Manufacturing of America is seeking an Aluminum Die Cast Equipment Engineer in Anna, OH. You will lead equipment optimization, automation enhancements, and process troubleshooting within our high-volume aluminum die casting operations to maximize uptime and casting quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead engineering troubleshooting of automated die cast machines, hydraulic presses, ladlers, and spray systems.
- Analyze equipment downtime data, applying Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) principles to implement permanent countermeasures.
- Optimize casting parameters, molten aluminum delivery, and die lubrication processes to eliminate porosity and defects.
- Manage capital investment equipment projects, contractor installations, and equipment maintenance expense budgets.
- Implement robotics and advanced automation technologies to improve equipment reliability and associate ergonomics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Metallurgical Engineering.
- 0-6 years of manufacturing equipment engineering experience, preferably in die casting or automated foundry operations.
- Hands-on familiarity with industrial hydraulic systems, automated robotic cells, and PLC diagnostics.
- Strong technical problem-solving capabilities and comfort working in high-temperature manufacturing environments.
- Excellent cross-functional teamwork, communication, and project management skills.
