About Texoma Medical Center

Texoma Medical Center, a 414‑bed acute care facility serving North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965, is located in Denison, TX, about an hour north of the Dallas‑Fort Worth area. We provide a range of specialty services including open heart surgery and neurosurgery, and are a regional specialty center with accelerated resources such as certified trauma care.

Responsibilities

The basic purpose of nursing is to provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Additionally, nursing will provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. Patient‑Centered Care principles guide all nursing care. Nurses demonstrate Service Excellence and adhere to Standards of Practice set by professional nursing associations.

Qualifications

• Current Texas nursing license or compact license.
• At least two years full‑time ER RN experience.
• RQI BLS, ACLS and PALS required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course per RQI program guidelines and all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare Provider courses will be provided during new hire orientation or upon transfer, and must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting.
• TNCC required within one year of hire.
• Must successfully pass any pre‑employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
• Must be able to identify and competently address needs of populations served.
