Youth For Tomorrow is a 501(c)(3) faith-based, non-profit organization founded in 1986 by Hall of Fame Football Coach Joe Gibbs. The organization is large, diverse, experienced, and committed to serving at-risk youth.

• Build positive relationships with mentees based on trust, care, unconditional regard, and understanding of individual strengths and needs.
• Provide training on various skills.
• Meet with small groups once per month or more, depending on availability.
• Attend and participate in monthly Mentor Supervision meetings, as well as work-related trainings and events mandated by YFT.
• Assist students in problem-solving and offer creative outlets.
• Consult with Mentor Coordinator for guidance on emergency and high-risk situations.
• Possess good oratory skills, as testifying in court may be required.
• Support the structured program of care aligned with DBHDS and DSS standards and the Office of Human Rights.
• Attend all mandated trainings by YFT.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO or Supervisors.

• High school diploma with 2-3 years relevant experience.
• Ability to communicate openly and nonjudgmentally with children and adolescents.
• Ability to establish respectful, responsible relationships.
• Practical problem-solving skills, sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.
• Pass FBI/CPS background checks, current negative TB screening, and be at least seven years older than the mentees.
