Overview

Northern Virginia Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Associates is looking for a Patient Service Representative in Annadale, VA to join our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. We take pride in offering comprehensive, personalized care in a warm and welcoming setting, prioritizing patient comfort and advanced treatments for optimal oral health.

Position Overview

Full-time:
Monday - Friday

This position is perfect for someone with a passion for providing outstanding customer service, a willingness to learn, and a desire to start in the dental field. The person will support all staff members and patients, answering phones, handling patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and assisting with the completion of treatment plans through acceptable financial arrangements while managing flexible tasks assigned by the Office Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Customer service—acknowledge, smile, and greet patients upon arrival/dismissal
  • Respond to patient questions and concerns according to DCA Policies
  • Answering telephones
  • Scheduling appointments and maintaining the appointment book
  • Confirm appointments and follow up on no‑shows/cancellations
  • Register patients on the sign‑in sheet
  • Post charges and payments to patient accounts
  • Check voicemail daily
  • Maintain a clean and friendly waiting area for patients
Qualifications
  • Experience working in a dental, medical, or other health‑care office preferred
  • Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO) is a plus
  • Experience answering telephone
  • Must have exceptional customer service skills
